Artworks from Niles, Brandywine and Berrien Springs high school students are displayed in the Eleanor and Mowitt Drew Gallery at the Niles District Library.
This is the first year Berrien Springs students participated.
Zeta Theta chapter of the Psi lota Xi sponsors the prizes each year.
Andrea Burns, the programming manager at the Niles District Library, had two artists from the Niles Art Association and one of the library staff judge the pieces.
The steps to the high school art show are first the art teachers from each school that the artwork to Burns. Burns then puts them in categories according to the medium the students use, such as acrylic, watercolor, pencil, pen, mixed media, etc.
Burns then brings the artwork to the gallery areas and lays each piece out to hang them up and makes tags for them.
