POKAGON TOWNSHIP — A Decatur man was injured in a Pokagon Township crash Sunday, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the crash at 7:25 a.m. Sunday on M-51 near Pokagon Street in Pokagon Township.

Initial investigation shows that Chad Strehnlke, 44, of Decatur, was northbound on M-51, when he attempted to pass another vehicle. Strehnlke lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road, before his vehicle rolled and hit a nearby tree.

Strehlke was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac by Pride Care Ambulance Service.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Pokagon Township Fire Department, Pokagon Tribal Police Department and Pride Care Ambulance.
