Brenda Sue (Hogue) Rogers, 51, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Brenda was born on Aug. 18, 1966, to Eugonda Hogue and Hollis Hogue in Paw Paw.
Brenda graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1985.
She was employed by Agrilink in Lawton for several years until she became disabled. She was a good worker who always put her family first. She had many struggles but was a quiet, happy person. She did not need to be the center of attention and could always laugh with anyone she was with.
She loved her three daughters, parents and four grandchildren. She also loved her dog, Brianne and cat, Snickers.
Brenda found strength from her companion of many years Steve Smith, of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Land; her grandparents, Robert and Clara Gatties of Bradford, Arizona and Doyle and Sibyl Hogue, of Dowagiac.
Brenda is survived by her parents Eugonda Hogue, of Batesville, Arizona and father, Hollis Hogue; stepmother, Beatrice Hogue, of Dowagiac; daughters, Talenna Morey, Teresa Rogers, Tonya Rogers, all from Lawton; four grandchildren, Landon Gironda, Eliana Gironda, Samira Webster, Jay Lynn Webster and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
We all loved you Brenda and will miss your smile. She is now at peace and for that we are thankful.
Cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest at Sumnerville Cemetery with a gravesite service at a later date.
