Dowagiac fares well at Brandywine

DOWAGIAC — The Dowagiac Middle School wrestling team traveled to Niles last week to take on host Brandywine, Berrien Springs, Cassopolis, River Valley and St. Joe Upton.
The Chieftains had seven wrestlers win two matches.
“We looked good last night, but we are still working to get better,” said Dowagiac coach Andy Crawley. “The season is starting to wind down and we want to finish on a high note.”
Winning two matches were Cody White, D.J. Rimpson, Korey Kinyon, Aaron Lucio, Taven Livingston, Malakai Haines and Brayan Paredes.
Also picking up victories were Marcus Haskins, Andrue Dayson, Jordan Simpson, Jorge Benitez, Dustin Sirk, Matthew Owen, Braqsten Whitaker, Kelvin Bravo and Roman Saldana.
Dowagiac is back in action Thursday as it travel to Three Rivers for a match.
