Wyatt Bailey is a freshman on the Dowagiac wrestling team.
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
WB: Winning state for wrestling.
Who is a “hero” in your life and why?
WB: My grandpa, because he has always been there for me.
When are you the most nervous while you are competing?
WB: When I feel like all eyes are on me.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
WB: Losing to someone, or a team you should have beat.
How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?
WB: Lift weights.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
WB: Basketball.
Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?
WB: Because you can experience things you have never done before.
How would you give away $50,000?
WB: Give it to charity.
If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?
WB: Pittsburgh Steelers.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
WB: Play video games all day.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
WB: Keep good stamina.
If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
WB: You do not have to keep an arm in a headlock.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
WB: That I was smart and athletic and I can go somewhere.
What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?
WB: Wrestle Tyler Hill (of Lakeshore). I am glad I did it because it gave my more experience.
What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?
WB: When my teammate beat someone ranked.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
WB: Playing sports, because I can chill with my friends and have fun.
