Alex McIntosh is a sophomore on the Dowagiac wrestling team.
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
AM: Placing fifth in the state for MYWAY.
What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?
AM: Not working hard enough.
Who is a “hero” in your life and why?
AM: My grandpa.
When are you the most nervous while you are competing?
AM: Right before the match.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
AM: Throwing up on the mat.
How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?
AM: At home and in the weight room.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
AM: Basketball.
Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?
AM: My way to make it out.
How would you give away $50,000?
AM: Donate it to the wrestling program.
If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?
AM: Michigan.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
AM: Be a gamer.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
AM: To not overthink.
If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
AM: Stalling rule.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
AM: That I dress nice.
What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?
AM: Tubing with my step-brother and driving.
What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?
AM: My grandpa making it to al my wrestling matches.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
AM: Playing backyard football with my friends.
