BANGOR — The Rangers remained undefeated with an 85-63 victory over host Bangor Tuesday night.
Cassopolis (8-0, 6-0 Southwest 10) used a 34-point fourth quarter to turn the game into a rout.
The Rangers led 13-6 after one, but the Vikings were able to keep the contest close in the second quarter and trailed 29-23 at halftime.
Cassopolis outscored Bangor 56-40 in the second half to pull away to the easy victory.
“I thought we played good in spurts, let them back in the game, then we picked it up in the second half,” Evans said. “I think we should play better going forward. We won’t have any time off. We will be playing on consistent basis.”
The Rangers placed four players in double figures, led by Tyrese Hunt-Thompson’s game-high 23 points.
Walter Lee and Xander Smith both scored 13 points, while Brandon Anderson added 11 points.
