MARCELLUS — After going 4-5 in its inaugural season in the Southwest 10 Conference, Marcellus has made a change in its varsity football coaching staff.
Nathan Davies, an assistant on last year’s team, has been named head coach, replacing A.J. High.
Davies is a physical education teacher at Marcellus, who has also coached the Wildcats golf team the past two years.
“I am excited that we will still have a teacher on staff to coach the football program,” athletic director Don Price said. “Coach Davies has done an excellent job in transforming our PE classes, specifically our weight training. I am also excited about the future of Wildcat football under his direction.”
Davies is a 2002 graduate of Fenton High School.
He graduated from Western Michigan University in 2008 with a bachelor of science degree in physical education with an elementary education minor.
