Dowagiac’s Adams earns MSFA All-Academic honors

CHICAGO — Sophomore Reid Adams of Dowagiac was one of 13 Saint Xavier football players to earn postseason honors.
Adams is a sophomore offensive lineman for the Cougars.
Between Saint Xavier’s six fall sport programs, a combined 34 student-athletes took home 43 various academic awards, including 10 NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards, 13 Mid-States Football Association All-Academic Team spots, and 20 CCAC All-Academic Team honors.
To be recognized as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and hold junior academic status. The 10 Cougars to earn the award come from five different programs:
Thirteen members of the Cougar Football program earned MSFA All-Academic honors; joining Kowalczyk, Ivlow and Mahdi on the MSFA list are:

- Oscar Moreno (Washington HS / Chicago, Ill.)
- Michael Ribando (South Elgin HS / South Elgin, Ill.)
- Mark Strbjak (Northern Illinois / Munster, Ind.)
