Allie Conner is a freshman on the Dowagiac girls basketball team.
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
AC: To keep learning how to achieve my goals as an athlete.
What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?
AC: Not pushing myself further.
Who is a “hero” in your life and why?
AC: My mom, because she is always there to support me in anything.
When are you the most nervous while you are competing?
AC: When I am shooting free throws.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
AC: I fell during our pre-game warm-ups.
How do you tend to work out/train when by yourself?
AC: I pass a ball to myself and shoot in the correct form.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
AC: Volleyball.
Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?
AC: You get to meet new people.
How would you give away $50,000?
AC: To animal hospitals and our school.
If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?
AC: Notre Dame women’s basketball.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
AC: Join some clubs or hang out with my friends more.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
AC: to encourage myself.
If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
AC: More than five second to be able to pass the ball in.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
AC: That I could play for the WNBA.
What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?
AC: Playing point guard on varsity. Yes, because it made me not be terrified.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
AC: Any type of sports, because it keeps me in shape.
