Dickson “Dick” Peck, 96, of Dowagiac, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at The Timbers of Cass in Dowagiac.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Memorial contributions may be made to Southerncare Hospice. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do at clarkch.com.
Dick was born on July 5, 1921, in Dowagiac to John and Violet (Kelsco) Peck. On Dec. 5, 1942, he married the love of his life Mary Ardella (Keene) Peck in South Bend, Indiana. Dick owned his own logging company where he worked as a logger for many years. He later went on to work for Sealed Power in Dowagiac for 34 years before retirement. Dick loved hunting, fishing and wood working, most of all he loved his family.
Dick is survived by his loving wife Mary Peck; children Connie (Ed) True and Donna (Jack) Johnson; grandchildren Rob True, Scott True, Becky Dollins and Kara Dollins; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; infant son and siblings Janet Lieber and Gene Peck.
