Last week, the Niles Community School district honored veterans. Several activities were organized and allowed students across the district the time to thank veterans for their service. Dan Applegate, the Niles Community School District Superintendent said the activities provided a meaningful interaction for all involved.

“It was a great opportunity to honor those who have demonstrated, through their service to our country, the characteristics of respect, responsibility and resiliency,” Applegate said. “Their presence allows us to bring meaning to these traits for all of our growing students.” (Submitted photos)
