Barger-Karasek marriage

Gina Barger, of Niles, and James Karasek, of Granger, Indiana, were married on Oct. 14, 2017, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Niles.

Gina is the daughter of Michelle and Ronald Barger. She is the granddaughter of CDR. Richard and Laura Barger.

Gina is a 2012 graduate of St. Joseph High School in South Bend, Indiana. In 2016, she graduated from Grand Valley State University, where she majored in writing and sociology. She now serves as the membership coordinator for the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce in Niles.

James is the son of Deanna and Randall Karasek. He is the grandson of Jim and Pam Karasek, Mary Karasek and Dean and Donna Saetre.

James is a 2012 graduate of Pacific Grove High School in Pacific Grove, California. In 2017, he graduated from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he majored in communication. He works in manufacturing.

Bridal attendants included Cecelia Boocher, the matron of honor and Mina Willemin and Sarah Polega, both bridesmaids.

The groom’s attendants included Ryan Younger, the best man and Brian Willemin and Daniel Giovinazzo, both groomsmen.

The wedding was officiated by Father Christian Johnson. Owen Blair was the ring bearer and Katie-Rose Kershner was the flower girl.

The reception for the wedding took place at a historic barn in St. Patrick’s County Park in Indiana.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico and now make a home in Mishawaka, Indiana.

The couple share a love for cooking, camping, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors together.
