Pauline Joan Claybrook was born on April 17, 1921, in South Haven, Michigan.
Her parents were Arthur and Lola Dungey.
God took Pauline Claybrook in his arms peacefully in her sleep at 4:56 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at IU Saxony Hospital of Indianapolis, Indiana with her loved one’s at her bedside.
She was the last of six siblings.
Pauline was the loving wife of Peter Claybrook; joined in matrimony in 1939. She was a loving homemaker for most of her adult life. She loved to sew, work crossword puzzles and loved the saxophone.
Surviving her are children, Cecil (Sandy) Claybrooke, Cecilia(William)Crittendon, Sylvia Claybrooke, Delores(Chester) Harris, Phillip(Heather)Claybrooke, Michelle(Michael) Chase, along with 131 grand, great-grand, great-great-grandchildren.
Pauline’s husband, Peter Claybrook, daughter Sharon Scott, Parents Arthur and Lola Dungey, sisters Evelyn, Dorothy, Mildred, Virginia and brother Arthur Jr., preceded her in death.
There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Cobb Funeral Home 3525 S Michigan St, South Bend, IN.The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday with a visitation one hour before the service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 1122 Miner St. South Bend with burial following at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.
