Vikings draw South Haven for district opener

The Niles volleyball team will face host South Haven in the opening round of the Class B district volleyball tournament on Oct. 30.

The Vikings and Rams will play the second match of the opening round at 7 p.m.

Berrien Springs and Buchanan will play in the first match at 5:30 p.m. at South Haven High School.

The Niles-South Haven winner advances to the second semifinal at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 against Coloma, which received an opening round bye.

The Bucks-Shamrocks winner will take on Benton Harbor at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 1.

The championship match is scheduled for Nov. 2 at South Haven.

Bobcats get first-round bye; Rangers draw Watervliet

Brandywine received a first round bye in the Class C district volleyball tournament being hosted by Bridgman.

The Bobcats will face the winner of the Cassopolis-Watervliet match, which will be played at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at Watervliet High School, in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 1.

District host Bridgman will take on Hartford at 7 p.m. Oct. 30, while Eau Claire will face New Buffalo at 6 p.m.

The championship match is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 3.

Tickets for all district matches are $5 per person. No league passes will be accepted for state tournament competition.
