Ann Marie (Follmer) Brown, 71, of Niles, passed to her rest on Sept. 5, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville, Michigan, after an illness. She was born Dec. 2, 1945, in Niles to the late Richard F. and Eleanor E. (Shaner) Follmer.

Ann graduated from Edwardsburg High School in 1964. She resided in California where she worked as an FTD florist until 1990, before returning to Niles with her husband, Herbert P. Brown. She then attended Southwestern Michigan College and worked for the COA (Council on Aging) in Cass County, Michigan for a number of years. She also worked at Lunkers in Edwardsburg for several years and was the Curator/Director of Smith Chapel Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Herbert P. Brown of Niles. Also three sisters and their spouses: Martha and Richard Maxwell of Edwardsburg, Kathy and Robert Fuller of Adamsville, Michigan and Barbara and Michael Weirick of Inverness, Florida.

Ann had no children, but had many nieces and nephews. Among them are Heather Braoudakis and husband Paul, Karen Eagleson and husband Thomas, Patricia Goodman and husband Harry, Adam Lindley and wife Autumn and Michael Lindley and wife Cari. There are also many great nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or service. Burial will be at Adamsville Cemetery at a later date.
