ALLEGAN — For the third straight Wolverine Conference Jamboree, the Dowagiac golf team finished third.

Sturgis won yet another jamboree and is running away from the remaining seven teams.

The Trojans shot 182 as a team to pick up the victory and now has 48 points compared to 34 points by runner-up Allegan, which was second at the match it hosted at Cheshire Hills Monday.

Dowagiac finished with a 205, one shot back of the Tigers’ 204.

Erin Taylor of Three Rivers earned medalist honors with a 36.

Dowagiac’s Rebecca Franklin finished third overall as she shot 42 along with Sturgis’ Katie Horn.

Greta Whitaker also cracked the top 10 for the Chieftains as she finished with a round of 44.
