Saylor adds two more goals in Chieftains’ win

The Dowagiac soccer team improved to 6-0 with a shutout of Coloma in a non-conference match Wednesday.
The Chieftains led 2-0 at halftime on goals by Cristian Wilson (fourth minute) and Alec Saylor’s 12th goal of the season (19th minute).
Matt Mosier assisted on the goal.
In the second half, Mariano Brito scored in the 52nd minute, while Saylor picked up yet another goal in the 68th minute off the assist by Mosier.
“It was a well-played game,” Dowagiac coach Mike Williams said. “We moved the ball well and took a lot of good shots. Coloma’s keeper did a great job of keeping them in the game.”
The Chieftains are back in action on Monday when it travels to Bridgman for a 5 p.m. non-conference match.
