Cassopolis sets up showdown with Hartford

CASSOPOLIS — Kiambu Gary scored three goals and added an assist as host Cassopolis defeated Bangor 6-3 in Southwest 10 Conference soccer Wednesday.

The Rangers are now 3-0 in the league and tied with Hartford atop the conference standings.

Cassopolis and Hartford will battle for first place at Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School at 5 p.m. Monday.

The Rangers led 4-0 at halftime thanks to a pair of Bangor own goals as well as scores by Lane Francis and Gary.

In the second half, Gary scored twice more while Cassopolis struggled to keep the lead after losing its starting goalkeeper Jason Sopaseuth to an injury and Francis to a yellow card.
