Gail Marie (Tillman) and Patrick Deane White, of Niles, will celebrate their 60th anniversary on June 2.

They were wed June 2, 1957, at the First Baptist Church in St. Joseph.

Patrick owned Rana’s Hair Fashions and retired in 2000.

Gail worked at Electro Voice and Simplicity Pattern Co. in the offices. She was also a bookkeeper for their business.

For 30 years, starting in 1972, the couple served as foster parents to a total of 52 newborn babies for Child and Family Services Agency.

Their children are Janice (John) Hensel, of Niles and Julene (Brian) Donohue, of South Bend.

Their grandchildren are Nikki (Tony) Graziani; Alexia (Shaun) Sowers, of Niles; Drew (Kelsey) Donohue, of Mesa, Arizona; Cole (Kelsea) Hensel, of Edwardsburg and Briana Donohue, of St. Joseph.

They also have six great-grandchildren.

The Whites spend their time between their homes in Niles and Lake Wales, Florida. A family dinner is planned for late this summer to celebrate.
