Coplen

Gerald and Mary Alice (Gray) Coplen, of Dowagiac, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 24. 

They were married in 1967, at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church in Dowagiac.

Jerry grew up in Plymouth, Indiana and retired from ICG in Dowagiac in 2010.  He also owned a landscaping service in Sister Lakes for 16 years.

Mary, a lifelong resident of Dowagiac, graduated from St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame.  She retired from teaching at St. Joseph Grade School in South Bend, Indiana in 2010.

They have three children: Christopher Coplen, Stephanie (Derek) Manley and Katie (Chris) Long.

They have three grandchildren:  Emily and Alexander Long and Dominic Manley.
