Roundup: Brandywine wins invitational; Dowagiac tops Shamrocks

The Brandywine tennis team captured its own Bobcat Invitational championship at Plym Park Sunday.
The Bobcats won three out of the four doubles flights and a pair of singles flight championships to earn 29 points and the title.
“I thought all eight flights played well, especially Carrigan and Alysa, who did not lose a game all day,” Brandywine coach Joe Marazita said. “Shaylee and Rachel continue to set the table with strong singles play.”
Three Rivers was second with 20 points and South Bend Washington third with 15 points.
Galesburg-Augusta was fourth with 14 points.

Dowagiac vs. Berrien Springs
The Chieftains swept the doubles flights from visiting Berrien Springs to earn a 5-3 non-league victory Friday.
Dowagiac did pick up a victory in singles competition as Mary Bonomo defeated Melody Ruiz in straight sets 6-0 and 6-0.
