Edwardsburg hosts, wins Wolverine jamboree

For the first time in five years, Otsego did not win the Wolverine Conference jamboree held at Four Lakes Country Club in Edwardsburg Monday.
The host Eddies unseated the defending conference champions by shooting a 163.
The Bulldogs were second with a 176. Dowagiac finished sixth with a 191.
Edwardsburg’s Carter Goodson, who eagled the first hole he played, shot 35 to earn medalist honors.
The win moved the Eddies within a point of the Bulldogs in the overall conference standings, 29-28.
Dowagiac was led by Drew Davis’s 46.
The Wolverine Conference will have a doubleheader today as Otsego hosts the first jamboree at noon, while Plainwell hosts the second at 3 p.m. Both matches will be played at Lake Doster.
