Hazel L. Solomon, 89, of Dowagiac, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Forest Glen Assisted Living in Dowagiac, surrounded by her loving family.

A private burial was hosted Monday, March 27, 2017, at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac.

Hazel was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Glen H. Sr. and Lillian (Humphrey) Peck.

On June 11, 1949, she married Grover “Sam” Solomon.

Hazel loved her family and enjoyed being a homemaker.

Hazel is survived by her children, Janet Feick, Michael Solomon, James (Rosanne) Solomon and Jean (Stuart) Cline, all of Dowagiac; five grandchildren Scott, Jennifer, Michelle, Julian and Jeff; several great-grandchildren; and her beloved companion dog, Nicki.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, and her brother, Glen Peck Jr.
