Some smarter food choices by Dowagiac Union High School students last fall resulted in a nice boost to the school’s AV Club this week. The district’s food service provider, Sodexo, awarded the student organization with a $500 check during Monday’s board of education meeting due to the school’s performance in the company’s Healthy High School Challenge. The school ranked 76th out of 376 high schools across the country based on the amount of healthy snacks students purchased during the six-week competition in September and October.
