Local students team up with The Young Americans for one-night performance

Nearly 200 Dowagiac students joined professional singers and dancers with international performance group The Young Americans on-stage at the Dowagiac Middle School auditorium Tuesday night, delivering an energetic show to a packed house that evening. Members of The Young Americans kicked off the performance, singing popular tunes from the 50s through today as well songs from classic films and musicals. For the second act, local children and teenagers joined the performers on stage, with several performing solo singing or dance routines for audiences. The show followed just three days of training from members of The Young Americans, who make their final stop of their current Midwest tour in Niles this week.
