Rangers qualify for postseason with win over Bulldogs

CENTREVILLE — Visiting Cassopolis scored 27 points in each of the first two quarters as it routed Centreville 54-0 to clinch a state playoff berth.
The Rangers, who finished with 309 yards of total offense, are now 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the BCS Athletic Conference’s Blue Division.
Cassopolis rushed for 203 yards.
Eian Forrest had three rushes for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Shane Los was 5-for-5 for 106 yards and a pair of touchdown passes to Brandon Anderson, who finished with three receptions for 67 yards.
Hunter Parsons led the Ranger defense, which gave up 69 yards of total offense, with nine tackles.
The Rangers hit the road again Friday night as they take on Bronson.
The Vikings are 1-6 on the season with their lone victory coming against Centreville, 36-6.
Bronson has also lost to Comstock (26-16), Mendon (35-0) and White Pigeon (35-8).
The Rangers will face Comstock in the regular season finale Oct. 21.
