Yvonne A. Greenman, 88, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at noon Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastors Orliss Terry and Ron Dorton officiating. Friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles. Memorials may be made to the Cass County Council on Aging. Yvonne was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Dowagiac, Michigan, to Earl & Hazel (Everhart) Keeler. On Oct. 18, 1946, she married Eugene M. Greenman in Dowagiac.
Yvonne retired the first time from Contech in Dowagiac, then retiring a second time from Wick’s Apple House where she enjoyed baking pies, donuts and cookies. She was a former member and treasurer of the Dowagiac Elks club, a member of the Tri State Gas Engine and Tractor Association, Inc. for more than 50 years and was a member of the South Haven Michigan Flywheelers where she was very active in their antique engine and tractor engine show. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting many special things for her family.
Yvonne is survived by her husband Eugene of Dowagiac; sons, Earl (Barbara) Greenman of Niles, Michigan, Larry (Norma) Greenman and Jay (Sandra) Greenman both of Dowagiac; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Beverly (Howard) Curtis of Three Rivers, Michigan; special niece, Sherry West, who was like a daughter; as well as numerous other special nieces and nephews. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Earl Keeler Jr., Wilbur Keeler, Lester Keeler, Donald Lee Keeler; sisters, Zilpha Greenwood and Doris Ann Keeler.
