On Saturday, Aug. 6 Midwest Energy Cooperative brings Family Day back to the Cass County Fair.

The sponsorship supports the fair and local families by discounting gate admission and ride tickets to $1 from noon to 6 p.m. Most food vendors also offer a $1 Family Day special.

“The Cass County Fair is really a celebration of everything great about this rural area that we proudly serve and support,” says Patty Nowlin, Midwest director of communications and community relations. “We are honored to use this sponsorship to help make the fair experience affordable and accessible to more families, and just support the great work of our local fair.”

Midwest Connections is offering free Wi-Fi through the week, both on the midway and throughout the camping area. Flyers and signs will be distributed to help individuals connect, and members of Team Fiber will be on the midway during the Family Day festivities to answer questions and help interested individuals sign up for service.

Midwest Energy Cooperative is a member-owned electric utility providing electric distribution and an assortment of energy and telecommunications programs and services to more than 35,000 customers in 11 counties in southern Michigan and northern Indiana and Ohio. Midwest Connections is an unregulated service of Midwest Energy Cooperative.
