WNIL’s complete the quote contest to draw people downtown

Much like a treasure hunt, the first “Complete the Quote Contest” hosted by local radio station WNIL will have participants scavenging for clues for the chance of a prize.
Jan Personette of local radio station WNIL said the aim is to bring people to downtown businesses and perhaps find a local business that they had not known was a treasure.
“(It’s) just something fun, something a little a different and to get people into the stores that they may not have been to before or didn’t know that they were there,” Personette said.
To find the words to complete the quote, participants can visit the following businesses and ask associates for a word: Bella’s Gifts and More, Lush Lighting, Rusty Hooks, Crumb Crossing and Rumor Records.
Each word will get them one step closer to completing the full quote.
Once participants have found all the words and put together the full quote, they will need to write down the business where each word was found and then write the answer for what they think the quote is.
An official form to write answers on will be inside The Leader, which is distributed on Sundays.
Once completed, the forms can be submitted in a drop box at Leader Publications, 217 N. Fourth St., Niles or at the Niles District Library, 620 E. Main St., Niles. All the contestants with the correct quote answer will have their names entered into a drop box for the chance to win a prize from one of the local businesses.
All forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. Saturday, July 30. The winner will be drawn on Aug. 1.
