Clarence “Frank” Joyner, 84, of Niles, died peacefully, July 5, 2016 in Riverview Manor in Three Rivers, Michigan in the presence and comfort of his family.
Frank was born Dec. 4, 1931, in Huntington, Tennessee, the oldest son and third of eight children of Clyde and Nora (Hill) Joyner. He married Armella Henrietta Kroll. After 21 years of marriage, she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by four siblings.
Frank loved his family and they remember him reading his Bible. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan on one of his three boats. Frank liked animals, especially his cats and dogs, and he liked his country music. He worked for Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan and retired from Tyler Refrigeration in Niles.
Frank will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Joyner of Berrien Springs; two sons and daughters in law, Larry and Patty Joyner of Cassopolis, James and Lynn Joyner of Niles; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister; two brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather Monday, July 18, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway St., Cassopolis.
Mr. Joyner will be laid to rest in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, Indiana.
