Terry Newell (center) president of the Dowagiac Masonic Temple Association, and Chuck Timmons, board treasurer, receive a check for $3,875, representing the facade incentive the Masons received from the Dowagiac Downtown Development Authority (DDA). Presenting the check is Tom Burling, a member of the DDA’s Design Review Committee that oversees the incentive program. The Masons recently completed the full renovation of their downtown building’s front facade. Downtown property owners — on a matching funds basis — are eligible to participate in the incentive program when completing a full renovation of their front facade.
