Penny Cooper (right) hands a ticket to Ron Richter for the upcoming Celebration Graduation 2017 Poker Run/Pub Crawl, which takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 9.

During the event, individuals or teams will stop at various bars and pubs throughout Dowagiac and Sister Lakes, including the Wounded Minnow, Beeson Street, Dockside Dan’s, Lakeview Inn and BT’s Pub, where they can show off their ticket and receive a playing card. The team with the best hand will receive a $200 cash prize; rewards will also be given for second place and last place.

A silent auction and 50/50 raffle will also take place at BT’s that day. Tickets for the event cost $20, with proceeds going toward this year’s Celebration Graduation, a special graduation night trip for the Class of 2017.
