Kincheloe Elementary recently honored Robin Winters, a former teacher, at a tree dedication. Mrs. Winters taught at Kincheloe for a number of years and passed away in April of this year. She instilled the love and joy of learning in each of her students. Her husband, Tom Winters, spoke to the students at the dedication. He told a touching story about Mrs. Winters. As a child, she planted a seed that became a tree. Over the years, she also watched many children grow and change, just like the tree. An engraved stone will be placed by the tree, in memory of the former teacher. The weeping cherry was donated by Monrovia Nursery.
