CASSOPOLIS — Jody Murmu, a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, has joined the medical staff of the Cassopolis Family Clinic Network (CFCN).
Murmu, a southwest Michigan native, received her bachelor’s of science nursing degree from Andrews University and master’s of science nursing degree from Indiana University. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
“After working in the hospital setting as a nurse for a few years, I would see patients returning again and again for the same health problems. I wanted to play a role in the prevention of these problems. I decided the time was right for me to return to school to become a Nurse Practitioner with a goal to help my patients focus on preventative health care and reduce hospital readmissions,” Murmu said when asked why she decided to become a nurse practitioner. “I chose to practice in southwest Michigan so that I might give back to my community by helping to improve the health and well-being of those in the community that I call home.”
Cassopolis Family Clinic is located at 261 M-62, Cassopolis, and offers primary care, dental, behavioral health, Medicaid/healthcare enrollment, and pharmacy services. CFC is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays from and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
