Ben Robertson plays varsity football, varsity basketball and varsity baseball is also president of both the National Honor Society and Student Council.
Some would consider this a full slate for a high school senior.
And Robertson couldn’t agree more.
“I like keeping busy,” Robertson said. “But I still squeeze in some sports on TV here and there.”
Others continually take notice of just what Robertson has to offer.
“If you could think of a kid that you want your kid to be that would be him,” Edwardsburg boys basketball coach Steve Wright said. “Exceptional in the classroom, a gentleman, a family man, someone who looks out for his teammates. He does the right things on and off the court. He is a special kid and I’ve always thought a lot of him.
“He has come a long way basketball wise the last couple of years. And Ben works so hard. He has a bright future. You know what people don’t see is what Ben does off the court for his teammates. He encourages them through positive thinking. We are very lucky to have him.”
It’s not just the basketball team that is lucky to have him.
Robertson still has one more sport to play once basketball season wraps up in March. He is also the centerfielder for the baseball team as well.
“I’m really looking forward to what the rest of my senior will bring,” Robertson said.“The one thing I am going to miss the most is the relationships that I have made with my teammates throughout my time here. But I’m not going to worry about it right now.”
Undecided on where he will go to college, Robertson has said that he has applications out there.
