Applications for craft, artisan, commercial and non-profit booth space at Dowagiac’s oldest and largest summertime event, Summer in the City, are now available by contacting the Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce.

According to Vickie Phillipson, Chamber of Commerce & DDA program director, the July 21-24 festival opens Thursday evening with a special two-hour concert at Beckwith Park and the opening of the beer garden, followed by two days of entertainment, family events and sidewalk sales, as a community-wide worship service wraps up the event on Sunday.

Headquartered in the downtown, vendor booth space is available for Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23.  The Chamber’s oldest and largest summertime festival is truly a family-oriented event, featuring 40 hours of entertainment and action sports.

Registration is being taken for craft, artisan, commercial, nonprofit and food vendor booth space, which measures approximately 10-feet on the street. Phillipson said this is a great opportunity for businesses and community organizations to take center stage, as they network with the community they serve.

Booth space is $40 for the two-day sidewalk sale when registering by May 15.  Applications are available by calling (269) 782-8212, by e-mail at vphillipson@Dowagiac.org, and by visiting the Chamber’s Facebook page or website at www.DowagiacChamber.com
