Wanting to offer the type of nail salon experience that she would approve of, Vicky Williams opened Tippy Toes in May 2006 in downtown Niles.
Ten years later, the Niles native is still offering the same all-natural service-first experience.
“We are very picky with how the nails are being done. We want everyone to be satisfied,” said Williams, who is celebrating her 10th year in business.
Tippy Toes started out at 127 E. Main St., but moved a few times before settling in its current location at 101 E. Main St. (at the corner of Front and Main).
Williams doesn’t plan to move.
“This is my last stop,” said Williams, adding that she plans to retire in four or five years.
Williams said her salon is known for offering excellent nail service at competitive prices.
“We haven’t changed our prices since 2007,” she said.
As an all-natural salon, Tippy Toes only works with the natural nail, meaning no enhancements or chemicals are used.
“We use what you have and make it beautiful,” she said.
Also, because Williams doesn’t use acrylic products, the salon lacks the unpleasant chemical smell of most nail salons.
“There are no fumes in our rooms,” she said.
Williams recently installed three new spa pedicure chairs, each with an advanced massage system.
Tippy Toes offers several kinds of manicures and pedicures and nail-related products.

The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday.
