Janet Fay Parsons, age 64, of Cassopolis, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, in her residence.
She was born March 17, 1951, in Pontiac, Michigan to Clemence and Genevieve Wantowski. She married Stephen Lee Parsons Oct. 29, 1983, in Petoskey, Michigan. He survives. She was preceded by her parents.
Janet graduated from Southwestern Michigan College with a nursing degree and worked for more than twenty years as a Registered Nurse. Her family will always be grateful to Dr. Booker T. Morris and his family for their continued support throughout all of the years of friendship.
Janet was a devout Christian woman and a loving wife, mother grandmother, and sister. Her family lovingly calls her a determined redhead and a take charge woman.
Janet will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband of thirty two years, Stephen Parsons of Cassopolis; one daughter, Stacey Parsons of South Bend, Indiana; one son, Robert Wantowski of Cassopolis; two granddaughters, Paige Wantowski, Olivia Wantowski; two grandsons, Lucas Wantowski, Blake Wantowski; four sisters, Joanna (Franklin) Enboden of Palmer, Alaska, Lois Wantowski of Warren, Michigan, Doris (Ralph) Kanka of Hazel Park, Michigan, Sarah Wantowski of Warren, Michigan; two brothers, Clemence Ray (Romaine) Wantowski of Branchland, West Virginia, Richard Wantowski of Rose City, Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, from 12 Noon until time of service at 1 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, with the Reverend Don Damron officiating.
