Charles Samuel Marshall, 80, of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at his home.
Sam was born on Oct. 13, 1935, in Water Valley, Arkansas to the late Ora Oscar and Margarett Marshall. On Oct. 31, 1953, he married Joyce Jean Allen at a ceremony in Niles.
Sam worked and retired from Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan. After his retirement he owned and operated Tanfastic Plus in Buchanan and was also a stock car driver. Sam enjoyed fishing and boating, he was a loving father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Theresa (Jack) Antisdel, Sharon (David) Garcia and Margarett (Michael) Rapp; grandchildren, James and Robert Antisdel, William and Samuel “Mickey” Chase, Laura (Ray III) Hart and Benjamin (April) Weaver; great-grandchildren, Austin Chase, Shelby Antisdel, Alexis Chase, Kylee Antisdel, Hilary (Trent) Hart-Spain, Hailee Hart, Johnathon Antisdel, Raymond Hart IV, Alexis DeWaters, Alissa Antisdel, Zachery Weaver and Hailey and Christina Mason and great-great grandson, Dominick Teeters.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Ora Oscar and Margarett; wife of 51 years, Joyce; brothers, Ora Oscar Marshall, Jessie Marshall, Ray Marshall, Eugene Marshall, Jimmy Mathis and Melvin Hitter; sisters Reva Thompson and Alice Riddle and one grandchild, Machelle Weaver.
Funeral services for Sam will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
