Two people suffered minor injuries as a result of a two-vehicle accident around 2:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South 11th Street and Silverbrook Avenue in Niles.

Officer William Emral, of the Niles Police Department, said the truck involved in the accident was heading east on Silverbrook and the white car was heading north on South 11th when the accident happened.

The cause remains under investigation.

Emral did not release the names of the people involved. The driver of each vehicle was transported by ambulance to Lakeland Hospital Niles for minor injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
