Niles cross country teams third at Rock N Run

Niles finished third in both the boys and girls races at the annual Rock N Run hosted by Dowagiac Thursday.
Berrien Springs won the boys team championship with 50 points, while Three Rivers was second with 76 and Niles third with 102.
Dowagiac was ninth with 206.
The Shamrocks’ Jorge Sierra Hermida was the individual champion with a time of 17:11.
Dowagiac’s Caleb Detwiler finished 10th with a time of 18:35.
Three Rivers won the girls title with 44 points. Delton-Kellogg was second with 59 and Niles third with 63.
Buchanan finished fifth, Cassopolis eighth and Dowagiac ninth.
Carissa Kelley of Three Rivers was the top finisher with a time of 21:00.
Niles’ Taylor Altergott was second with a 21:28, while Cassopolis’ Amy Adams was eighth with a time of 22:46.
