O’Reilly Auto Parts joined a long list of auto parts stores operating in the City of Niles when it officially opened this past weekend on South 11th Street.

Store manager Tim Wilson said O’Reilly should stand out from the crowd because of its highly trained and knowledgeable staff, wide selection of parts and the fact that it remains a family-owned business.

“The O’Reilly family cares about its employees — we are not a number,” said Wilson, of Niles.

The store is located at 550 S. 11th St. just north of Martin’s Super Market. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Wilson said O’Reilly Niles employs four full-time workers and two part-time staff — all of whom undergo lots of training so they are able to answer just about any auto-related question a customer has.

“It is an extensive program we have here for our employees,” said Wilson, adding that five of six employees are Niles residents. “Our staff has over 100 years combined automotive experience.”

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Niles is one of more than 4,500 auto parts stores throughout the United States. According to the company’s website, O’Reilly offers the top brands and several services, including battery testing, fluid recycling, wiper blade installation, loaner tools and engine code reader.
