BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — After winning the hearts of millions on NBC’s The Voice, Joshua Davis returns to Michigan to perform at The Mendel Center Mainstage at Lake Michigan College at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.

From February’s national television debut with his now famous “blind audition” that instantly won the favor of the judges and more than one million YouTube viewers, Davis represents his music and home state of Michigan with pride.

Making it to the final three contestants by placing numerous songs in the Top 10 of iTunes, Davis broke barriers on the NBC stage by becoming the first artist in eight seasons of “The Voice” to perform an original song, catapulting the singer’s talents beyond the national spotlight.

Davis’ extended run on “The Voice” ended with a third-place finish as Davis dug deep into the American folk catalog climaxing with duet performances with judge and Maroon 5 vocalist Adam Levine, plus nine-time Grammy award winner Sheryl Crow.

Davis is a singer-songwriter raised in the folk tradition writing songs that blend the roots of American music with gritty rock ‘n’ roll and vintage soul. For years, Davis has made his living sharing his songs and stories across the U.S. and Canada at festivals, concert halls, coffeehouses, and dives as a solo act or front man for roots ensemble Steppin’ In It.

A professional musician for more than 15 years, Davis’ national television experience exposed the world to a gem that could only come from Pure Michigan.
