SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Winner of 10 Tony Awards, “Fiddler on the Roof” is set in the little village of Anatevka and tells the story of Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters.
With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
Patrons can bring family and friends to South Bend Civic Theatre’s show that celebrates family, music and community under the stars at St. Patrick’s Park.
Get ready to hear musical theatre favorites like “Matchmaker,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Tradition.” Featuring over 70 community actors and a live, 16-piece orchestra, this is the must-see event of the summer!
