What a finish for the last PGA major

I expected a lot from the final day of the last PGA major of the season and it certainly lived up to the hype.
I really enjoyed watching Jason Day and Jordan Speith go toe-to-toe for 18 holes.
Better yet, there were other players who made a run as those two as they were trading punch-for-punch on the fairways, rough and greens at Whistling Straights Sunday afternoon.
This is the first time in decades that I watched most of the four major championships.
But I could not turn away from drama that was unfolding this season.
It took me back to a time when golf was great. Each and every major tournament provided dramatic finishes and created long-standing rivalries between the game’s greatest players.
The likes of Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Johnny Miller filled my television screen as they battled for supremacy.
Those days have returned. Gone are the days of Tiger Woods dominating the tour with an occasional player stepping up and knocking him off.
Now there are four, five, six or more players slugging it out to win tour stops.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these talented players.
And I am looking forward to April and the next major, The Masters.
