If you are in the market for a good deal, Laura Yoho says she knows the right place.
It’s called The Market Place.
“We have a great variety of items and very reasonable prices,” said Laura, who runs the resale business with her husband, Bill. “We are slowly becoming everyone’s favorite store for people who like to shop at these types of stores.”
The Market Place is located at 2428 S. 11th St., just south of Fulkerson Road. The Yohos originally ran the business in downtown Niles at 111 E. Main St. It was called The Downtown Flea Market and lasted about a year until Laura said they needed more space.
On May 1, the Yohos opened at the new location, which has 8,000 square feet with about 7,200 square feet of usable space. It is packed full of antiques, crafts and used furniture.
The Yohos rent booths by the month with a six-month lease. The cost is $1.25 per square foot and the Yohos do not take a percentage from items sold.
“We are currently full but are accepting names on a waiting list,” Laura said.
The Market Place is open every day except Tuesday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Sunday, when it is open from noon to 5 p.m.
