Skyflower E. Long Smith, 27, of Osceola, Indiana, passed to rest May 27, 2015, at her home unexpectedly. She was born May 26, 1988, in Kosrae, Micronesia, the daughter of Marvin and Tina (Tosie) Long.
Skyflower’s hobbies and enjoyment were taking pictures, dancing and being an adventurist. She loved being a stay-at-home-mom, for her family.
She was married May 12, 2012, in Niles, to James C. Smith, who survives as well as two daughters, Auroasky Rugelio and Kassandra Smith, both at home, and her son Qubid Rugelio at home. She has a father Marvin Long of Elkhart and a sister Sharyselin Long of Osceola and two brothers, Orlando Long of Osceola and Frankie Tosie of Hawaii. Family who have passed, are a son Roberto Rugelio, Jr. and her mother, Tina Tosie Long.
Family and friends gathered Monday, June 1, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 W. Main St. (US-12), Edwardsburg. At 8 p.m., there will be a service of remembrance at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Jeff Reese, pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, Edwardsburg. Cremation will follow the service and she was taken back home with her family.
