Scott A. Myers, 37, of Angola, Indiana, formerly of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at his home in Angola.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac, with Pastor Melody Wallace of the First Christian Church of Dowagiac. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday, May 28 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, packages of dog or cat food may be brought to the funeral home or memorial donations may be made c/o Vickie Schuur, for Scott’s son’s education.

Scott was born May 4, 1978, at Berrien General Hospital in Berrien Center, Michigan to Dennis Myers and Vickie (Gard) Schuur. He attended Dowagiac Union High School and graduated in 1996. He was employed at Miller Poultry as a Supervisor.
Scott loved animals of all kinds. Most of all he loved being a dad and was a wonderful father to his son, Harrison. He loved his family and was known as quite a jokester and prankster at times.
Scott is survived by his son Harrison of Albion, Indiana, his mother Vickie (Bill) Schuur of Dowagiac, and his father Dennis (Sandra) Myers of New Market, Alabama.
He also leaves behind two brothers Dan Myers (Angela Lamar) of Norman, Oklahoma and Adam Myers (Danielle Fearnow) of Bristol, Indiana and a sister, Angela Myers of Dowagiac, and a half-brother Hunter Schuur of Dowagiac. Also surviving are four step-brothers Timothy (Michelle) Schuur of Marcellus, Keith (Sherri) Alm and David Alm of Niles and Dustin Alm of New Market, Alabama.
