Richard “Rich” Eugene Brown, 80, of Niles, passed away at his home on May 8, 2015.

Rich was born on March 13, 1935. He was the eldest of four children growing up in the Brown household. Rich was a well driller by trade. He loved to drive; every morning he would fill his gas tank and drive around the country side. Sometimes he went far and sometimes stayed close to home but you could be sure that he would always drive by each of his family’s houses to check on them.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by two daughters Beth Anne (Stacey) Shoemaker of Niles and Becky (Jack) Branson of South Bend; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren with two more on the way; brother, Jim Brown of Cassopolis and two sisters Hazel (John “Jack”) Snyder of Niles and Margaret “Peach” (Emery) Lawson of Cassopolis.

Rich has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.
